The Stone Store is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team. Candidates with prior sales experience are urged to apply, however experience is not required.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, and those with a customer service and sales background.

Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in retail and contractor customer with product selection using display areas in showroom
• Assist customers in understanding proper construction techniques and light project planning
• Answer and return customer phone calls in a timely manner
• Provide and follow up on quotes in person, via phone, and email
• Help maintain showroom displays
• Order product samples, out of stock, and special-order materials for customers
• Keep track of on-order material
• Set up product deliveries
• Eventual establishment of repeat customer base expected

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher preferred but not required
• Customer service experience required
• Retail sales experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of basic calculations of area, volume, etc.
• Knowledge of landscape/hardscape industry preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Familiar with basic computer applications
• Organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to occasionally lift stone samples weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Seasonal weekend availability

Compensation:

Highly competitive hourly base rate + commission resulting in an overall pay of $65,000-$85,000 dependent on sales performance.

Aggtrans & The Stone Store is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about marketing and eager to learn and grow within our organization. As a Marketing Assistant, you will work closely with our Marketing & Events Director to support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Responsibilities:

• Support inbound and outbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in areas such as event planning, advertising, email activities, search engine marketing, graphic web design, search engine optimization and, content development.
• Assist with the creation of marketing materials, such as presentations, brochures, and digital content.
• Collaborate with web team to provide fresh content regularly, along with ideas based on web analytics to enhance our customer's web experience.
• Providing support for corporate events, including set up, tear down, registration, creating literature, event layouts, and more.
• Assisting with company apparel and promotional/branding items.
• Maintain the physical and digital filing systems / assets for marketing collateral.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in MS Office. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Experience managing CRM systems _ working knowledge of a database program such as Salesforce, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, etc.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
• Experience working independently, as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
• Experience with social media management and email marketing is a plus.

The Stone Store has an immediate opening for yard help at our facility in Harmans, MD. This job includes but is not limited to assisting customers, running heavy equipment, cleaning our facility, bagging sand and gravel products, weighing and loading stone material, as well as building orders for shipment. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to move up. We are looking for a high energy highly motivated individual who is looking for long term employment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work in a safe manner and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Reliable attendance and willing to work in a team environment.
• Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be willing to work over-time and weekends.

Required for Success:

• Reliable transportation.
• Bobcat and Forklift experience.
• Ability to lift heavy objects 50 - 100 pounds
